It typically takes 2 weeks for your quilt to arrive after your order is placed.

You will receive notifications in real-time of what step of the process your quilt is in with our “Quilt Tracker”. Please contact me if you are needing your quilt to arrive before a certain date (birthday, anniversary, etc) and I will try my best to accommodate!

If you are getting any services that will require input such as ‘What in Carnation’ or ‘A Peony For Your Thoughts’, the expected finish time can be delayed depending on how quickly you respond.

Traditionally, rag quilts are made with either 100% cotton or flannel. We chose to use flannel because it is the best fabric for the frayed edge look. It is also softer and warmer than their cotton counterparts. If you have something else in mind though, please contact me and I’ll be happy to see if I can accommodate.

It would be a honor to use your loved one’s clothing for a memorial quilt. Because of how special it is, I currently am only offering this for local MN residents to ensure it would arrive and be returned safely.

Flowerfield Road quilts are composed of 10” squares (8 across, 10 down). This makes our finished quilts approximately 66”x84” in size. We chose this custom size as the perfect in-between of a throw blanket (50”x60”) and a twin (65”x90”). This unique size also offers the most versatility, it can be used as a:

• Throw size for taller individuals

• Family cuddle blanket on the couch

• Full coverage on twin and full beds

• Perfect accent size for Queen and King size beds

• Picnic/camping blanket

• Couch cover

We are currently only offering rag quilts at this time.

The best part of rag quilts is they are much easier to care for vs an ornate quilt. I personally wash and dry mine in the same way that I clean my clothes. But your machines might be different than mine, so here are all my top tips if you want to ensure your quilt lasts:

• Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Low-sudsing, dye-free, and fragrance-free is best.

• Wash quilt alone to prevent inadvertent discoloration or snags.

• Tumble dry on a low-temperature, gentle setting. Wool dryer balls added to the load can help quilt dry more quickly.

• Always clean out lint filter before and after drying a rag quilt to prevent fire hazards.

• Rag quilts tend to have loose threads from time to time, feel free to cut any loose threads or gently pull them out.

Totally normal and to be expected! Strings from the raw edges of the fabric will continue to work loose over time. That’s what makes these quilts look even better as they age. You can either cut or gently pull them (if you’re pulling, just make sure it’s thread from the fabric and not from the stitches).

Since our quilts are 100% custom and made-to-order, we do not offer returns or refunds on finished quilts.

If I am unable to find fabrics in your desired style or color scheme before starting your quilt, I am more than happy to cancel and refund your order.
